Planner’s Workbench

Product Planning gives planners online access to the critical information that is necessary for successful planning. You can review calculated demand from the master production Plane and dependent demand from production orders. You can also view material commitments, shortages and purchased material supply. To help incorporate current conditions into the planning equation, the system provides the ability to process either selective or mass updates of planning statuses and lead time changes, as well as the ability for complete online exception processing.

Work Center Capacity Planning

Capacity data in the work center and available capacity together tell you what your people and machines can handle in a certain period of time. Available capacity tells you how much work the capacity category can perform per work center. By using this comprehensive planning tool the system calculates the capacity requirements automatically on a predefined formula.

Work Order Planning

You can use this business process to carry out accurate planning of the maintenance tasks.

To minimize the time that a component is not productive, you have to carry out detailed advance planning of the maintenance tasks required for a component. The more accurately you plan a task, the more efficiently it can be performed by the employees on site. This is extremely important in the case of components that cause bottlenecks and may lead to a shutdown when they are out of order.

You can select from the following planning functions for order planning:

When you have finished planning all the necessary specifications, you can release the order and print out the work documents.

Bill of Materials Planning

A planning bill of material is a bill of material structure that includes a percentage distribution for its components. Planning BOMs are used to forecast demand for components and options available for configured products. One of the advantages using PBOM is the ability to streamline and reduce complexity in the planning process so that rather than plan for multiple end items and components, planners can focus their attention on forecasting more aggregate level platforms or product groups and use attach rates to forecast the component level details associated with the platforms.
